HEC Explains Why Lassi and Sattu Should Be Promoted

Universities are essential to the upbringing and instruction of students. After completing their education, students each year find employment in a variety of fields and businesses, both public and private. Therefore, it is crucial that universities prepare them to be problem-solvers and boost productivity in any industry they enter.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has implemented a number of initiatives to motivate academics and students to explore problems facing Pakistan and develop creative solutions.

Strong efforts are required given the current economic climate. As a result, the HEC has asked university presidents to concentrate their research – along with other sectors – on the three primary imports that could lower foreign exchange spending.

In this context, there is a critical need for the commercialization of locally produced oils and beverages so that they may be purchased off the shelf, creating jobs and boosting the local economy.

Universities of agriculture might devise strategies to boost regional tea production and advertise regional brands of native beverages. In Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, a milk-based beverage called Leben is presented in particularly attractive packaging. Iran has also produced Lassi in a variety of flavors, including strawberry and vanilla.

As a result, the Vice-Chancellors have been requested by the HEC to come up with additional inventive techniques to investigate possibilities that would aid in the expansion of the national economy. The acknowledgment and support of all such initiatives is also crucial.
