For the past two days, hostilities and day scholars at the Islamic International University Islamabad (IIUI) have been protesting the university’s administration over the lack of water in the hostels.
Students expressed their displeasure with the administration for failing to provide water yet charging them high hostel fees.
Since the start of the summer season in Islamabad, the hostilities have been notifying the management about the looming water deficit, according to one of the students.
However, the administration ignored their warnings, and kids are now facing the brunt of the administration’s ineptness in Islamabad’s searing heat.
Another student stated that hostilities have been obliged to collect money and arrange for their own water tankers and that they will not be able to handle this additional financial load for long.
The students have vowed to keep protesting until the university management acknowledges the problem and assures a constant supply of water.
