SCHOOLS REOPEN IN PUNJAB WITH SOPS

Punjab’s educational institutions were closed from December 23 to January 6 for winter vacations.

Meanwhile, pupils’ attendance at schools is low due to rain and a rise in cold.

On Thursday, Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas welcomed children and teachers back to school and urged them to follow the government’s COVID SOPs.

It is worth noting that Sindh’s schools and colleges reopened on Monday after the winter break ended on January 1. The province’s winter vacations began on December 20.

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) advised all provinces to move the holidays to January so that pupils may be immunised in school. However, educational institutions in Sindh began their holidays on December 20, but those in Punjab stopped for the winter break on December 23.
