The Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2022 include 63 Pakistani universities, up from 36 in 2021.
Since its inception in 2019, THE Rankings have grown from 450 to 1,500 participating universities – up from 1,240 in 2021 – spread over 110 countries in 2022. This year’s rankings contain 400 institutions that have never been ranked before.
The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Islamabad topped the local rankings once again. NUST is the only Pakistani university among the top 200 universities in the world.

Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), Superior University, Lahore, and the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad are among the universities listed 301-400.
Superior University is the country’s top-ranked private sector university, having debuted on the renowned rankings.
The top-10 universities in Pakistan include COMSATS University in Islamabad, Fatima Jinnah Women University in Rawalpindi, Government College Women University in Faisalabad, and the University of Lahore, University of Wah, and the University of Faisalabad.
